INHIBITION OF CREATIVITY FACTORS
XXV Aprile school tries to provide adequate educational environment designed to help children foster their creativity by counterbalancing present day behavioral tendencies in children characterized by the following:
- heavy field-dependence and convergent thinking style
- deeply rooted habit - on the part of children - to emulate and reproduce media-driven stereotypes (especially TV-produced stereotypes)
- poor partecipation in collaborative activities
- pervasive tendency - since the early age - to prefer solitary electronic games to cooperative games
- tendency to isolation
- tendency towards an all-exclusive dual rapport in play
- poor drawing abilities
- lack of adult assistance
- difficulty in listening to each other and in engaging in real peer-to-peer communication
- passiveness
- lack of curiosity
- difficulty in identifying problem situations
- difficulty in perception and movement
