The communication between tutors and students has been largely via e-mail, with a certain amount of synchronous chat. While Mike also made some use of the TagLink asynchronous conferencing facility, this was largely as a means to make students work available to each other rather than a means of carrying on discussion. While I was disappointed that we didn't get to use asynchronous conferencing, there was certainly a mountain of stuff going back and forth in other forms.
